Jess [00:00:00]:
Welcome to He Speaks, I Obey, a podcast of Bible backed affirmations and reminders for the growing believer. Today's affirmation is I am free from destructive cycles and walking towards fulfillment and success. Ready? Today we are declaring freedom from destructive cycles and stepping into the fulfillment God has spoken over our lives. I am breaking free from the destructive cycles and walking towards fulfillment and success. Luke 1:45 says and blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord. Sometimes we get so caught up in living and just consuming that we forget that we have a God that loves us. The world tells us to hurry up while God tells us to slow down when we move too fast. We make decisions fast.

Jess [00:01:03]:
Some decisions that will have a lasting effect on our lives and welcome things that we never wanted to even know. Sometimes we end up in decisions of our parents or grandparents and we stay there because if it was something else, surely they would have tried it. These decisions throw us into cycles. Sometimes they are good, sometimes they are destructive. Our past decisions aren't always the best and the cycles solidify that we shouldn't trust ourselves and God taking us further away from the ground we needed to be planted on. It could be a cycle of bad thoughts, a cycle of bad behaviors, or even generational struggles that try to keep us stuck. It's okay. Everyone has struggled with this or is even still struggling with it.

Jess [00:01:55]:
Freedom begins with belief. Now back to our scripture for some context. In Luke 1 Jesus Mother Mary was told she would give birth to Jesus and her relative Elizabeth was also pregnant in her old age. Now this was borderline unbelievable because Elizabeth was past childbearing age, considered barren, and had never had the ability to bear a child ever. But Luke 1:37 lets us know that for nothing is impossible with God. When Mary got up the next day, she ran to Elizabeth's home and said hi and the baby. In Elizabeth's wound leaped someone who was never supposed to have a baby. Not only birthed a child, but but also birthed John the Baptist.

Jess [00:02:47]:
Listen, John's birth freed his father. It starts simply with one decision that goes against what you know is not for you. God's purpose doesn't have a time limit. What he has destined you to do will be done no matter what you think. Bars you from his love, which is nothing. God loves you more than you know and actually loves you. Not the messed up version of love that your life experiences have taught you. You can change the cycles of destruction.

Jess [00:03:21]:
Nothing is impossible with God and it won't stop you from being who God called you to be. I can bet you have a desire in your heart that you think about late at night when your mind is still and tears are decorating your pillow. That desire is there for a reason. It's supposed to be better. You're called higher to better. But you have to make the decision to get to that better. Even if you only know the first step. Work the first step.

Jess [00:03:56]:
It's okay. It's not perfect. It was never meant to be perfect. I also want you to understand that the enemy cannot create any thought that puts you in a place to welcome the cycles that go against your desire and back to your familiar destructive cycles. He couldn't create it, but he could play on your experiences. The shame, the fear, the brokenness you feel. Start allowing God to come into those places to make sure the enemy doesn't have a foothold, to gain control of your mind again. It just starts with one God.

Jess [00:04:35]:
I know this is not like you. So I'm going to need you to gain control and evict the enemy from my mind in Jesus name. It's that simple. It doesn't take a big worship session. It doesn't take being in perfection. It just starts with an invitation, a submission. Letting God know that he is welcome into your mind. Let's think about this.

Jess [00:05:02]:
What if Mary didn't believe what the Holy Spirit told her about her and her family? What if she was so caught up in the world that instead of having faith she had fear and discontentment? We would never know the answer to that, thankfully. So let's move in faith so that what we need to birth into this world through our purpose can help the people it was destined to help. If you struggle with anxiety or self sabotage, start declaring. I am disciplined, focused and fruitful in what God has called me to. Start moving a little slower until you start to trust yourself more. Building that belief and that trust with God and yourself. Break free by agreeing with God's word, not the enemy's lies. Father, thank you for freeing me.

Jess [00:05:58]:
Thank you for being the chain breaker that I need in my life. Thank you for your purpose in my life. I choose to believe in faith. All that you have spoken over me. You are God, a sovereign God, a God who provides for me and loves me unconditionally. If I have walked away from you or spoken against your love for me, I repent right now, Lord. Renew my heart and make it new. With every breath I take in, increase in me and with everyone I let out.

Jess [00:06:30]:
Remove what is not like you. Thank you for always being by my side, Lord. Lord, I ask that you strengthen my belief in you by increasing my vision to 2020 so that I may see your fingerprint in each day. Let me see the evidence that you are here and that you hear me and that you are with me. Amen. Carry that with you today. Write it somewhere where you can see it each day until it becomes second nature to your belief. I am breaking free from the destructive cycles and walking towards fulfillment and success.

Jess [00:07:09]:
Until next time.
